The HOMES program is moving to a tiered structure for heat pumps, aligning with the recent changes to AHRI (Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute). This combines all heat pump types into one category, including ducted, non-ducted, mixed ducted, and non-ducted. Tier eligibility is based solely on efficiency ratings.
Propane customers are ONLY eligible for heat pump discounts - furnaces in propane dual-fuel systems are not eligible. Dual-fuel systems need SEPARATE entries for the full heat pump system, the furnace, and the thermostat if you want all three discounts (where applicable).
