We are seeking a skilled and reliable HVAC Installer to join our team at DG Heating & Cooling in Racine, WI. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in installing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. As an Installer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our clients' homes and businesses are equipped with efficient and properly functioning HVAC systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential and commercial settings
- Collaborate with the sales team and project managers to ensure accurate installation based on customer specifications and requirements
- Perform pre-installation inspections and site assessments to determine the appropriate installation procedures
- Assemble and install HVAC equipment, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductwork, and related components
- Connect wiring, refrigerant lines, and ducts, following design specifications and manufacturer instructions
- Test HVAC systems to ensure proper functionality and perform necessary adjustments for optimal performance
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues in existing HVAC systems and provide effective solutions
- Provide excellent customer service, answer client questions, and explain the installed systems and maintenance procedures
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and team members
- Maintain accurate records of installation activities, including materials used and work performed
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an HVAC Installer with a strong understanding of HVAC systems and components
- Knowledge of heating and cooling principles, as well as local codes and regulations
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- EPA certification for handling refrigerants (preferred)
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various environmental conditions
